The best part is the Walkway over the Hudson. It also has a trackage agreement with the Housatonic Railroad, a Connecticut freight railroad, though Metro-North says it is seldom used. After the Whaley Lake continuing south there is a slight decline which did make it a a bit of a grind on the way back but really nothing to be afraid of.
